Prepared For a Summer Heatwave in Ireland?
Ready For a Summer Heatwave in Ireland this Summer 2019
Summer is on the horizon again- will we have a summer heatwave in Ireland like last year because if we had the weather how many of us would bother seeking that sun abroad?
With my own holidays in mind I was checking out summer weather forecasts for Ireland online to get a flavor as to what I might expect this summer in 2019 and I was greeted by several posts predicting a summer heatwave for summer 2019 in Ireland.
The 10 mark question – Will Ireland have another fantastic summer in 2019? Old Moore’s Almanac seems to think so.
Old Moore’s Almanac 2019 is here and it has some pretty interesting predictions for the Irish in the coming year.
International rugby success is also on the cards with Ireland predicted to go all the way in the Rugby World Cup at the start of the year.
Across the pond in the UK there are articles online also predicting a summer heatwave as well.
So Are You Prepared To Deal With Risks That Good Weather Brings With It?
When we are lucky enough to get great sunny weather in Ireland many of us obviously head for the beach or the mountains . Others of us bring the entire family with us.
It’s a simple fact that being prepared for minor injury is not factored into the excitement of the good weather and looking forward to the day out:
But when enjoying the great and beautiful outdoors in Ireland there are always risks:
- Injuries in rough terrain through slipping and falling or maybe twisting an ankle
- Cuts on the beach or rocks – seaside
- Exercising too hard and straining muscle
- Insect Bites
Obviously we sell first aid products but being prepared for life’s injuries can make all the difference and for the minor cost involved it pays to have first aid supplies to hand for your sake as well as for your loved ones.
Would it not make sense to travel with a First Aid Kit in the boot of the car?
Or to have a kit to hand hiking in those mountains with no doctor nearby for miles?
Ther is no point adopting the philosophy “it won’t happen to me”…….because it could!.

Ask Whether You Are Prepared For That Minor Accident or Injury?
Enjoy your summer holidays or days out in Ireland this summer-Safely-And Be Prepared.
Lets Not Forget the obvious One…. Sunburn !
I wrote an article last year about preventing sunburn which you can read here
